Chay Ya styria

CHAY YA STYRIA was founded as a sister association in March 2016 by members of Chay Ya Austria. Due to the earthquake in 2015 and the support of many people in our area, the interest in the work of Chay Ya grew in the district of Liezen and so we decided to found our own association, which works according to the same principles as Chay Ya Austria.

Responsibilities: Chairwoman, communication with Chay Ya Austria
Qualification: Coordination and collaboration in a training project in Nepal, volunteer hospice worker.
Motivation: I have always been drawn to Nepal and through my voluntary 7-month project work in Nepal, I had many wonderful encounters and am very close to the Nepalese people. My personal concern lies in the training and education sector. I hope that children and young people will have more and good educational opportunities, because knowledge is power and with it the people of Nepal can build a better life for themselves.

Responsibility: proposal writing in the field of health, financial control & accounting
Qualification: Volunteer in Nepal, good relations with local stakeholders, IT expert
Motivation: Through my work as a volunteer in Nepal, I was able to gain a good insight into the daily, exhausting lives of people in the remote mountain villages who are not, like us, lucky enough to have access to medicine, clean drinking water and schooling. Now I would like to give something back and help to make the lives of the people there more worth living.

Motivation: No child in this world deserves to live in poverty. Here in Europe we have too much of everything, and I would like to help change this unfair distribution. My interest lies above all in the school projects; through education we enable children to live a dignified and self-determined life!
