Chay Ya Liechtenstein

CHAY YA LIECHTENSTEIN was founded by Balthasar Hasenbach together with Florian Wenaweser and Philipp Kieber in 2019 after many years of commitment as volunteers. This sister association of Chay Ya Austria focuses on education and health.

Responsibility: Project planning, coordination, control and finance.
Qualification: Graduate trust expert; has more than 9 years of experience in finance and fiduciary matters.
Motivation: Inequality of opportunity, injustice, suffering and poverty are omnipresent on our planet. The country of Nepal and its people are particularly hard hit. We want to contribute and help so that the people in Nepal can help shape a life worth living, a healthy life with equal opportunities. Our projects in education and health stand for sustainability!

Florian Wenaweser

Vice President of the Board Chay Ya Liechtenstein

Florian Wenaweser

Responsibility: Project planning, public relations and fundraising.
Qualification: Graduate trust expert; Liechtenstein trustee, active in the financial and trust sector for more than 10 years.
Motivation: I was born – like many other people on this planet – privileged in a country with a very good infrastructure, a good educational and social system. Not all people are so lucky. I would like to help other people to grow up in a country that offers them certain conditions to be able to determine their own lives and their future.

Responsibility: Public relations, fundraising and organization of events.
Qualification:
Federally certified psychotherapist, working in inpatient care for the mentally ill for more than 9 years.
Motivation: The privilege of being born in one of the richest and safest areas of the world has become more and more conscious to me in the process of growing up. At a time when the gap between rich and poor, advantaged and disadvantaged, is widening, I see it as a deep ethical and moral duty to give something back to others, especially since the wealth of our region is partly based on the exploitation of others.
Therefore, it is a pleasure for me to contribute a small part to a project that strives with a lot of heart and soul for improvements in one of the most remote regions of the world and thus makes its contribution to the quality of life of less privileged people every day.

Responsibility: Public relations, fundraising and organization of events.
Qualification: Managing director and sales manager in his own family business.
Motivation:
As a native of Liechtenstein, I was lucky enough to grow up in a country where there is a basic right to education and health. Unfortunately, this is not the case everywhere, as I have experienced in various parts of the world.
I am happy to be able to contribute my part to the Chay Ya organization with Chay Ya Liechtenstein in order to enable a better future for the people in Nepal through targeted and sustainable investments in education and health, even in the most remote regions of the country.
After our visit to Nepal in autumn 2022, I am convinced that Cha Ya Nepal is doing an excellent job on the ground and is fully passionate about the people in their beautiful country.

Let’s do it!
