Watch out! We are changing all mail addresses to "@chay-ya.org"!
Dear friends and supporters of Chay Ya!
At the moment our team members and helpers are on the streets of Nepal’s cities to help the people affected by the COVID crisis directly with the most basic necessities of life. Besides that we hope to be able to hand over the next schools and health posts to the villagers in remote areas soon.
But it is hard to believe how much work is needed in the background with an association like Chay Ya to keep everything running.
A not insignificant part of this is the public relations work – we have to present our association and its work. Beside events, where we get in contact with you personally, it is especially the online presence. Besides Facebook and our YouTube channel, it is definitely our homepage. And as you, our loyal companions, have been able to follow this over the last few years, a lot has happened there in the meantime.
Until one and a half years ago our first homepage was online. It was still available at www.chay-ya.com. Although “.com” is the most used domain worldwide, it usually indicates a business enterprise (“.com” = commercial). That does not fit to us! And so we decided to change to the address www.chay-ya.org (“.org” = organization – for non-commercial organizations) at the end of 2019.
E-mail addresses are usually created in connection with the domain of the homepage. So from the beginning we had addresses with the ending “@chay-ya.com”.
The conversion of such grown structures is technically and logistically not easy and there is a lot of effort behind it.
But thanks to a lot of detailed work, our employees Magdalena and Manfred (our voluntary IT expert) have now managed to ensure that from now on all mail addresses will be “@chay-ya.org”.
We ask you to change all existing Chay Ya mail addresses in your personal address book. You can find the current versions on our homepage or the most important ones here below. Thanks for your understanding.
