COVID-19-Pandemic in Nepal – Update May 06, 2020

Food for 300 families

Officially there are only 99 Corona cases in Nepal, but if you don’t test, you won’t find anything. We strongly doubt these official numbers, and also today’s decision of the Nepalese. government’s decision to postpone the curfew again until May 18 (a total of two months) reinforces this assumption. The people are not allowed to work, nor to go to the fields to harvest. Hunger is rampant and far more dangerous than the virus itself. But we try everything to help: our team from Nepal managed to get the coveted exit permits, no easy task, but it was done!

In the past two weeks, thanks to your generosity, we have provided food for over 300 families. In three of our schools, namely Chundevi, Tharevir and Dhrubatara, thanks to the Carnevali Foundation, food has been distributed to 250 families for one month. Also in Pokhara and the Kathmandu Valley, more than 50 families were provided with the most basic necessities. The selection of families is difficult; families with many children, single mothers, and people with disabilities are preferred.

With only 20 Euros you can give a family a month without worries.

THANK YOU!

100% of your donation directly reaches Nepal!
